During the 15+ hour public hearing by the Gun Violence working group of the Connecticut Bipartisan Task Force on Gun Violence Prevention and Children's Safety, many brave men and women gave their testimony against or in favor of the many gun control bills before us. While private citizens had made work and childcare arrangements, braved the snow to travel to the capital, and produced the courage to give testimony, Senator Beth Bye was complaining on Facebook about being "stuck" in a hearing.

In my opinion, people with this attitude have no business in public office. Senator Beth Bye needs to be reminded that she is a public servant and, as such, should be serving the people and not acting as if we are an inconvenience to her.
